noise level !!  (And maybe throw a telescope in there, too).

 

So here, I try to give some hints about things that are tried and true.  I like cheap and easy, but also won't ever recommend something unless it really works!!   For instance, those little magnetic-loop antennas are easy to transport and set up, but if no-one can hear you when you call out with one, what's the point ??

 

The focus here will be mainly on field antennas, radio go-boxes, DC power sources, and a few camping tips thrown in.

 

About me:  I'm a Professional Camper, and the undisputed King of Radio Field Operations (well, if anyone wants to challenge me on that second one, I might back down.  HaHa!!)
